If you submit a property, we may also collect your relationship to the property, listing details, price, location, photographs, walkthrough videos and information used to assess your authority to market it. The private provider-verification form may collect your legal name, identity-document type, a cryptographic hash and the last four characters of the identity number, owner or appointing-party contact details, authorization type and expiry, declarations, and supporting identity, ownership or authorization documents. Do not send these records through public listing fields or WhatsApp when the private form is available.
3. Why we use the information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, match renters and buyers with relevant opportunities, review and publish approved listings, contact property submitters, coordinate viewings, verify tenant placements and service introductions, administer customer reviews, reduce fraud, maintain business records and improve our services.
4. Consent and communications

Optional marketing offers and follow-up emails are sent only when the property provider selects the separate marketing-consent option. Service messages concerning an active enquiry, listing, payment or agreement may still be necessary.
5. When information may be shared
We may share relevant information with a property owner, landlord, authorized agent, prospective buyer or renter when necessary to progress an enquiry. Sensitive provider-verification documents are not published and are available only through the private owner-administration review. We may contact the stated owner or appointing party to confirm authority. We may also use technology and hosting providers that process information on our behalf, or disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate suspected fraud.
6. Public listing information
Approved property descriptions, photographs and walkthrough videos may be published on the website and used in Blackfeet marketing. Approved reviews may display the reviewer's name, role, rating, review text and a general property description or location, but not their email address, WhatsApp number, exact enquiry history or move-in details. Personal contact details submitted by an owner or agent are kept out of the public listing unless the person expressly agrees otherwise.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, verification, listing, agreement administration, fee collection, legal obligations, dispute handling and legitimate business records. Verification documents are stored under private object keys, blocked from the public media route, and accessed through an owner-authenticated review route. Agreement acceptance may include the version, time and cryptographic hashes derived from connection and device information for security and evidentiary purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online transmission or storage method is completely risk-free.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable Kenyan data-protection law, you may request information about personal data we hold, ask us to correct inaccurate information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or request deletion when there is no lawful reason to retain the data.
